Welcome

The Community Scrapstore is an Aladdin’s cave full of marvellous and sometimes quirky resources that will fire the imagination and spark creativity and play. Build a den, make a model, a costume or a collage – we have materials you can use!  We are a creative bunch and thoroughly enjoy sharing ideas about how to use the scrap resources.  We regularly post on our Facebook page, as well as on Twitter and Instagram.  

How does it work?

We divert tonnes of materials from landfill each year by collecting clean, safe waste products from local businesses and industry to enable it to be made available for reuse through our store. The Scrapstore has a membership scheme, and anyone can become a member and collect resources from our warehouse .  Our members pay a low annual fee, then make a donation for the scrap resources they choose when they come into the store.  Our stock is constantly changing as we receive new donations.
